31 Halloween Books for Three Year Olds

Halloween is on the way! To get in the spirit, I’ve been reading my son some of our favorite Halloween themed books. He loves when I make the silly monsters have silly voices and it really makes the season more special for us. Today I am going to share 31 Halloween books for three year olds that are sure to be a hit with your little one!

How to Choose Books for Your Three Year Old

In order to get your kiddo interested in reading, there are a few ways you can make the experience more fun. Start by looking for books that have an age range. 3-8 is a good place to start.

Appeal to Interests

Currently, my son is obsessed with chapter books about super heroes. He doesn’t even know all of his letters yet, so there is no way he is reading them himself, but I chose a topic he likes (superheroes) and read them to him. It keeps him interested.

Look for Captivating Covers

Take your kiddo with you to go shopping. If she is interested in one of the covers, she will most likely want to know what’s happening inside the book. When looking for Halloween Books for three year olds, visual appeal is important.

Keep it Short

We all know toddlers have super short attention spans, so aim for books that aren’t super long. Large paragraphs aren’t needed at this age. The importance should be on pictures and then the story. In fact, books with lots of pictures are great for quiet time and independent play time.
