Evenflo Revolve360 Extend All-In-One Rotational Car Seat: The Only Car Seat You’ll Ever Need

Everyone wants their baby to be safe. So when my husband and I started looking into convertible car seats for our one year old, we looked at a lot of car seats. This Evenflo 360 Revolve Extend Car Seat Review tells you exactly why we chose it for our son, and why I think you should too.

We purchased the Revolve360 Extend in January of 2023. My baby was quickly outgrowing his infant car seat, and we knew we wanted something that would last until he sized out of a car seat. With the Revolve360Extend, he can stay rear facing up to 50 pounds or 48 inches, whichever comes first. When it is time to turn him around to forward facing, he can use it up to 65 pounds (!!) or 49 inches. Plus, with a 10-year expiration, we knew we would never have to buy another car seat for our son.

In fact, had we known about the Revolve360 Extend sooner, we may have bought it instead of an infant car seat. Some friends of mine bought the Revolve360 Extend for their son, and they have used it since they took him home from the hospital. It is safe for babies as little as 4 pounds rear-facing, making it the only car seat you’ll ever need.

We also knew that we wanted a rotating car seat for ease and practicality. With a toddler, a dog, and a busy lifestyle, the rotation feature makes loading up the car a breeze. The Exact style we got was the Quick Clean Cover in Revere Grey. It also comes in a mossy green and a fuschia color.

Usage

I love that it is easy to turn one-handed, because this mama never has both hands free when unloading the car! There is a handle on either side of the car seat, which means that no matter what direction your child is facing, or the location of the seat in your vehicle, you can still use it one-handed.

A few months ago, I hurt my back and was barely able to lift my 30 pound child. Any sort of bending, twisting, or quick movement made it flare up, making momming extra hard. With the Revolve 360 extend, I was able to load my toddler in with minimal bending, and the rotation feature saved me from having to contort my body to get him strapped in.

At just under 20 inches wide and 21 inches deep, the Revolve360 Extend is on the larger side. This may be an issue if you have a smaller backseat or need to put multiple children in the same row. But Evenflo thought of that! They introduced the Evenflo Revolve360 Slim, which is under 17 inches wide and 21 inches deep. That saves you 2 inches of space per car seat!

Safety

It is pretty common knowledge that convertible car seats are pretty tricky to install. When I worked in a daycare, field trip days were the woooorrssstt because I had to install and uninstall up to 15 car seats each time!  Thankfully, installation technology has come a long way. In both positions, the Revolve360 Extend uses lower anchors on either side of the base, and a tensioner to make sure the belts are secure. With a few firm tugs, Everything latches into place, and the base sits securely in the seat. It also has a tether in both front and rear-facing positions.

Cleaning

The height adjustments are also easy to use. I simply compress the handle, and can adjust the height as my son grows. When getting my kiddo out of the car seat, it does take two hands to release the shoulder straps and loosen them, but it is very easy to do so. The pads on the shoulder straps are quite plush, and they haven’t become misshapen or worn out in the almost two years we have been using them. This may seem like a small detail, but because we go on so many long trips, I didn’t want my toddlers neck rubbed raw by the shoulder straps.

The fabric is also machine washable and comes attached by zipper, making it easy to remove and wash.

The cupholders are large and can hold wide camelback water bottles. They twist free, so you can wash them if need be. My toddler has taken to crumbling his crackers and pouring water over them, which creates a gross mush, so I appreciate being able to remove them when I need to.

Be aware that crumbs can get caught in the rotation track, but I have never had a problem with trying to rotate the Revolve360 Extend. It is relatively easy to clean, simply align the arrows on the seat shell and the base, and lift it off. I either use a baby wipe or a handheld vacuum to remove any debris my child leaves behind every now and again. Put it back together by lining up the arrows and rotating it back onto the track.

Car Seats, Strollers, and Baby Essentials

Pros:

  • Easy to maneuver
  • Great when I hurt my back, didn’t have to twist to get my son out
  • Fabric is well made and easy to take off with a zipper, and machine washable
  • Removable/Washable cupholders
  • Ease of Installation.

Cons:

  • Larger Fit, may not fit in vehicles with a shorter distance back seat
  • Would not work well if you need to put multiple car seats side by side
  • Crumbs get caught in track, relatively easy to clean, so minor annoyance
